Title: Introduction
Post by: ST001 on May 26, 2017, 08:05:29 AM
Hi my name is Dean i live  at the western side of lake Macquarie i have red 2002 st1300 that i picked up unseen off a 81 year old guy from vic. My dad has had 4-5 1100's and still has one at age 77. He doesn't ride so much these days so i have it in my shed to ride which means each time i get to choose....lol
Cheers Dean

Hi Dean, and welcome to the forum. Sounds like your bike is the same year and colour as mine, though I've only managed to knock over 115,000K's in the last 14 years.

Hi cravenhaven,
Yeah ive had mine about 2 years and it only had 62000km which is the main reason i got it and ive only done 10,000km.
Great bike though.

Whew!  I'm glad to hear that.  It's a bit of a smack in the eye in the photo!

Welcome to the Forum.
I'm another happy red ST1300 owner, as you can see below.  We're the lucky ones with the fastest colour (which leaves me wondering where a green bike fits in that spectrum, although it seems to work OK for Kawasaki).

Welcome on in ST001. I must say I really love the green 1100. Thats probably one thing I think Mr. Honda overlooked in the range of ST's. A bit of colour. He was clearly a conservative chap.

Thanks skip,
It really is a nice colour for the st there's enough grey plastics to break it up a bit.

A belated welcome from the west coast of Vic, Dean.
I have been a bit remiss in checking for new members as I have been chasing another club member via spot for a week and a half. He is currently only a couple hundred Km from home in Brisbane after an east to west, and then a north to south transcontinental run in the past ten days.
Plenty of members live sorta near to your area, I am sure you will catch up with a few in the near future.
Nice looking bike!

Cheers!

Cool but not but not cold yet! My wife and I just got home from a ride to a new brewery in Lang Lang (Gippsland Victoria)...on our mighty Honda cx500...it's like a baby ST1100....and it looks like we are only days away from putting down the  deposit for our first st1100 to be shipped down from Queensland!  :bl11.
Great ride, amazing food and some nice beer too!
Chris

Yeah, but it's so cold here we have to use an angle grinder to slice the beer to make toasted sandwiches!
