Would anyone know where I can get Tank covers similar to the Tank Covers like what Diesel has on the ST1300?
-
I got mine (ST1300) from intobikes.co.uk
They are very easy to deal with, and the French made product is excellent.
They are the Bagster brand, and come fitted with attach points for a Bagster Tankbag.
Mine cost £89.15 and £44.99 for P&H. Total $211.00

No idea about the Bagster stuff, but I picked meself up a tank cover on the Ebay, for like $30 delivered to the door and stuck some metal washers to it so I could use a Magnetic Tank Bag. Works really good

I have an Aldi tank bag which was excellent on my GL650.

It has so many different ways to use it I can't remember what they are!
Unfortunately it uses magnets to attach, but it also has straps that can be used. If I can't use the straps I want to go for a Bagster setup!
I have seen quite a few come up on eBay UK, but usually they don't want to send to Oz.

aussiebiker.com.au (http://aussiebiker.com.au) may be able to help with Bagster products. I have a Bagster tank cover and bag. Mine attaches with clips. No magnets. A great product. Not sure where the previous owner got it from though...

Well I rang Aussie Biker cost is $259 for the Bagster Tank Cover, 6-8 weeks as they are made to suit, service was excellent, looking forward to my cover now :)
Cheers

Hey gents bagster tank cover is here for the st1100, how on earth do I put this thing on? I have been standing in the shed looking stupid, I have the front clipped on but the strapsvat the seat have me buggered...
-
I don't know Streak..................but I'm about to find out in a couple more days!!
I brought the blue Bagster that Biggles had advertised here on our web site. It's not going to be "blue" for very much longer though, as I'm all set to dye it "black" when it arrives. Couldn't have a blue Bra on a white bike with black trim............hey!
Good luck mate........hope you get it fitted!!

The straps at the back go down to the metal loops under the sidecovers which are there for tankbags. If you take the sidecovers off pretty obvious. The straps should fit with the panels put back on.

Well Gents today I got in and put the Bagster Tank Cover (from http://www.aussiebiker.com.au/ (http://www.aussiebiker.com.au/) on my 1996 Honda ST1100, Thanks to some advice from Saaz, I worked out how to do it properly.
There are two rubber straps at the front of the bag that clip over the false tank edges just under the handle bars, that part is straight forward.

After that you need to take off the side covers, i found that if you run the straps through the heavy plated area shown in the photos below, it pulls the bag down well, and does not mean your putting excess stress on a weaker part of the bike.

After that, i put the shoe lace parts down on where it has the clips for tank bags firm not tight as their major role is to stop the cover slipping forward.
then it is clipping the sides back on, be gentle as the straps have to go between the bike and the covers. and it all looks rather good!

The Old Girl is looking rather good now, since i bought it at the start of the year i have put it through a major service, new tyres (from http://www.jakewilson.com/ (http://www.jakewilson.com/)), new screen (thank you Saaz), took of the Gearsack rack, and put on a Bestem Top Box (from http://bestemusa.com/ (http://bestemusa.com/)), added the Ram Mount for Iphone ( from http://www.ram-mount.com.au/ (http://www.ram-mount.com.au/)), put the 12V charger in the front compartment, and got lots of raised eyebrows from my other half with packages arriving for the bike!

Streak... Your bike is looking nice. If you ever feel inclined to get a tank bag to go with your new cover you would not be disappointed in Bagster's corresponding bag designed for that cover. Below are a few pics of mine. It has a clear map compartment on top though not so important with GPS these days. Small zippered compartment in front of that. The middle section can hold a decent amount of gear. There is a compression zipper around the middle that when unzipped allows a bit more space as can be seen in the pictures. On the bottom of the bag there is another small zippered compartment that contains a sewn in rain cover. Is very secure with the well designed clips. Have used mine quite a bit and can highly recommend it. I notice your seat on your bike. Looks very nice. Did you get it complete or is it a modified stock seat?

That's a big first up ride Streak.............I thought mine was big enough (1157kls)............I might have had a hot ride but at least I had a windscreen!
My blue Bagster arrived today.........I'm not going to fit it until I change the colour though, and I can't do that until I go in to Hobart to get the stripper & dye to be able to make the colour change..............I'll post some pics once I get it all finished & fitted.
