I tried Pandora once, but found it useless for me. The local oldies FM radio is enough for me. (curtin FM.

Is that the one which used to be 6UVS FM out of the Wait Campus (now Curtin University)?  My friend had a radio show on that but got removed for questionable humor.

Norway has stopped broadcasting in fm and these days the only radio you can get is DAB+ (digital radio).

I just use my mp3 collection or digital radio. Plenty of stations to choose from in Brisbane.

When in mobile coverage, on the road, I use RadioApp for Android. I believe is also available for iOS.
I can listen to any Australian radio station on it and on major highways, can travel for hours without fading or static.

Thanks Marcus, will check out Spotify if I cannot figure out a way to get onto the US site. Sure they'll be a way.

Cheers the can:-)

https://www.spotify.com/au/ (https://www.spotify.com/au/)

I have a family subscription plan which means everyone can access their own music preferences.
The app is great and hardly sucks up any phone data, I used it for hours on the bike, and it integrates into my car via Bluetooth as well.

I just use my cd collection sitting in mp3 form on the PC and a growing music video collection (of which the sound tracks can be copied to mp3) to select tracks/albums to be transferred to my phones 32GB SD card.

Not that I listen to music on the bike that often but it's handy to have when riding solo sometimes.

I liked his humour,  but don't know what his show was like as I lived in Japan in those days.

Love Pandora and will miss it.  To be able to just select an artist and have Pandora construct a playlist/channel of similar artists in that genre is magical.

It was then just a matter of selecting the channel that suited your mood or situation (party/relaxing/reminiscing) for hours of wonderful listening, and exposure to new artists as a bonus.

Lots of great bios about the musos, and the ads on the free service were not too intrusive.

Oh well - will be shifting to Spotify.
