Title: Wanted st1100 bar risers
Post by: Ace on September 17, 2017, 08:50:52 PM
Hey all I had my first chance to do some longer Ks on my 1100 this weekend....i reckon i need some small risers as my wrists were a little sore at the end of the rides. Anyone have some for sale? Would also consider helibars at reasonable cost!

If nobody have anything then buying something like this should do the trick (it's what I was using back when I was riding an 1100) :thumbsup

You can buy these at most motorcycle stores or online at places like:

But have a look through this thread on the forum for more info...

I bought these through the Aussie biker shop when I had my 1100 and the were just the ticket...they are not to high that you don't need to reroute cables etc.

If you want to make a real job of it and replace the plastic over the bars you will need a longer key cut and to finish it of if you can find a 35mm plastic film canister and cut he bottom out it slides into the now raised key hole  :like

Thanks all...I did read all the site stuff which was great! However...is there any reason not to do the far cheaper (flip) method with a second set of top clamps and longer high tensile bolts rather than the purpose made units as described above? (Only reason is that, rather than spend the money and find them not quite right, maybe try out the elcheapo method?)
I assume you could get those clamps anywhere...(we have no wreckers in our area)

Many have done the flip...very common in the U.S.

Just consider insurance issues etc  ;-*

I have the Flip method on mine if you would like to check it out
I also modified seat to get a more cruiser style riding position.
