Title: Departing Love Gift By Co Worker
Post by: alans1100 on November 18, 2017, 11:37:48 AM
I work the afternoon shift and Paris (the young girl who I take over from)  gave me a gift or to be more exact my bike.

When leaving from work Paris backed into my bike and pushed it over. To her credit she came and let me know what happened an that there was no visible damage. Her bumper seemed to have come of worse with at least two retainer clips.

Her and a couple of other girls tried to stand the bike up but no success and later the supervisor let me know my bike had fallen over. I advised her what happened and she'd try and arrange for me to go and stand the bike up. That never happened but at the lunch break I noticed the bike was on the centre stand. Guess a couple of drivers did that.

Having rain over the last few days and little work I couldn't see Paris until yesterday. Showed her that damage and the cost ($140) to replace the housing - hoping she pays up during the next week.

That is really bad news mate, but it sounds like she is taking responsibility, so hopefully she'll come through :thumbsup

Don't forget Shiney & his ST1300 & the little 💩 who pushed his over.  At least Alan's wasn't deliberate vandalism.

Sad but true :'(...
It did result in me finally getting rear crash guards though :grin

Like others have said, at least she admitted to it.  My baby was knocked or pushed (not sure which, initially thought pushed, but have since noticed scrape on LHS pannier so probably hit by a car) over in front of my place.  Wish it was just the mirror housing that was damaged....

I'm sorry to read that your bike has been knocked down.   After being nice and reliable while taking you on your recent epic adventure, she does not deserve such undignified treatment.   I trust it all works out OK.
