So there I was 6 days and 23 hours early for this months RTE.


I'd convinced Kate that it would be a good day with some nice people. We got all the way there and even called Shiney before I realised it was the wrong weekend. [Expletives entered here!!!!!]


As a pre-RTE ride report:
- great venue.
- great ride out there.
- reasonable prices meals (no pami, sorry Shiney); but there are burgers, calamari and other broad menu.
- the view is amazing.
- Google (GPS) told us the venue was closed,  but it wasn't. I think lunch and dinner have different names but the same venue.


Next weekend I'll be in Indonesia. So Shiney -2 for the RTE.

What a great turn-out!  From the Forum posts this morning I told Mrs Biggles that there would be just the four of us there, if Shiny wasn't going all sugar-baby on us.  The overnight showers were long gone when we left home for the ride up Clear Mountain.  I found a car space, leaving room for another ST and went up to the restaurant.  Lo and behold- there were six others there already, and we were early ourselves.  Later, when I went to put the seat cover on the sheepie, I was pleased to see another ST using the space I'd left.

After drinks and chats, we got our photo taken.

The food arrived soon after, and we all did very well for ourselves.

Plenty of varied subjects were discussed and resolutions made.  The appearance of a shower coming in off the sea generated some nervousness and people started drifting towards their bikes.  A pity, because I was looking forward to going for a ride the long way home, but now we're home the weather has improved rather than worsening.

Thanks to Shiny and Carol for organising another RTE.  There was a good showing of regalia.  I hope we can get along to the next one.    :thumbsup

I managed to make the RTE as our NSW friends are not flying in until early evening. There was a bit of very light mist as I began the climb up from Winn Road on the way to the venue. I headed home the long way via Dayboro and not a drop of rain fell although the roads were quite wet in places. All it did was make a mess of the bike.  :'(
That location never disappoints.  :thumb
