I'm over the overwhelming commercialism of the Christmas Season and the pressure to try to get me to buy truckloads of gifts. What I enjoy most during the Christmas Season is the simple and special gatherings of good friends and family. As a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas, I found this striking image, and I quote the opening line of a poem accompanying the image.
However I'm not at all a Grinch and Merry Christmas to all.....
My dear precious Jesus, I did not mean to take your place....

Merry Christmas to everyone. Thankfully our family rationalized presents a few years back ans so buy one or two things plus gifts for the grandkids. The advertising this time of year is quite over the top and the real reason gets lost. Thanks for the reminder Stinkypete.
Looking forward to a new year and a break from renovations and lists at Mallacoota for a few weeks.
Hope to catch up with a lot of you guys and girls next year.

Christmas has come to us! Our Tumut family x5 are staying with us, and the other families x4 x4 live in Brissie. We've had a practice run already, and the professional family photos (x 1 hour) :H
Stay off the roads as much as practical, folks. It's a war-zone out there!

Got some bad news for you people waiting for Santa tonight.
Just had a coffee with him at Port Wakefield BP and he's cheesed off. He was supposed to do a changeover with his new sleigh there but apparently it's been grounded at Monteith Checking Station for being 200mm over length, Rudolph was defected for a Red nose out front instead of Amber, Prancer and Dancer were knocked off for being 200kg over on the drive, Comet has been grounded cause his speed limiter has been tampered with and Vixen has bought back a positive drug test so remember, whatever your flying or driving this Xmas be safe cause the DPTI is waiting for you.
