I have two sets of brake pads, one complete front pad change. Genuine Honda, still in the plastic bags.
Part number 06455-MCS-R01.
STray had bought these when he has his ST and they don't suit mine, which is earlier.
$100 for the pair. they weigh 600gms in case people want them posted.

These pads are the EBC number FA388, which suit a large number of Hondas and a few Suzuki.
Dimensions are 188 x 47 x 8.3.
Rang Honda today and trade price was $115 per set, with none in the country till mid Jan this year.

I think I paid a little more than double that for three OEM sets including postage from the UK for my 1100.

I went to change my front pads today and found the pads I have are about 3mm short. When I looked them up, they only fit up to 2007 models- mine is 2008.
I was about to put them on here at give-away prices when I looked a bit further and noticed on the Link International site that the Ferodo FDB2098ST will fit the rear of the 2008+ ST1300s. According to their site, 2002-2007 ST13s have the same pads front and back.
However the Metal Gear site lists a different number for the front pads, but agrees the rear pads are the same for all ST1300s. They do agree the front pad size changed in 2008.

A tip I wish I'd seen/thought of earlier: remove the caliper and insert a wide blade screwdriver between the old pads and twist to force the pots back in their cylinders. It doesn't matter that you might burr the pads- they're going in the bin. Purists might like to get their toothbrush onto the circumference of the pots before driving them home (but there's no way of properly accessing the top of the pots to scrub them). That will require removing the pads and putting them back in for the screwdriver trick.

for the 1100 the front pads will fit the rear, they are thinner, so I think for the 1300 it would be the same.

It appears Honda continued the ST1100 idea into the ST13s until 2008 but then used a caliper that is about 3mm longer for the front while retaining the rear.
I can't complain. I got 80,441 km out of the set. I changed the rears at 41585 and they're still looking good.

Rather than using a screwdriver, a caliper spreader tool is better to use as there is a very real risk of jamming the cylinders sideways in the piston.

That sounds a bit fancy for the rare use it would get.
Having the pads flat and parallel reduced the risk of canting the pistons. I was also careful to apply the force in the middle of the pads to evenly distribute the movement.
I must say, this looks like it would be fun to use, but wouldn't fit in our little calipers.

I started writing it up in here because I was going to sell the offending pads, but then a bit of research revealed they are still useful to me.
Want to buy a set of rear brake pads for your ST13? The downside is they weight a lot and the postage would cancel out any bargain you might, but you can have a set for $30 plus freight, packaging free. |-i
