Great to see another keen "fixer" got his hands on an ST1100.
Ah, the wonderful 150,000km belt change! Everyone who has done it has marvelled at how little worn the original is. Have a good look at any hoses you come across and change them while it's in bits. Member Alans1100 will tell you where you can buy anything you need.
Make good use of that "Search" button third from the left in the row beginning with "Home". It's quick and effective.

Belt looks real easy.. still waiting for the parts though.. had to replace coolant fitting under carbs as one had broken (i believe its common on early models) so i replaced both as well as the hoses to the thermo housing from there. Hoses for carb balancing were bad as well so they are also being replaced.
cant wait to ride it

Shes alive..... bought this last sunday, previous owner had just rebuilt alternator when it sprung a coolant leak.. i think it was the straw that made him sell it... i picked it up for $500, rego until april.. Replaced the 2 elbows in the valley,, all coolant hoses, fitted new cam belt balanced carbs and trhen spent a day trying to work out where all the plastics went lol (was apart when i got it )..
Went for a spin this morning, very nice..

$500????
The whole bike for the price of a tyre?????
Deal of the century, you could even resell for $3000 if you wanted too.
Enjoy the riding.
