Title: New Member/Rider from New Zealand
Post by: BruserNZ on April 28, 2018, 11:05:59 AM
Hi.

The names Stu Massey from Papamoa Beach NZ.

I've been riding bikes since an early age, started off with an early Yamaha 80 when i was 7-8 years old and been on and off bikes for years (Yamaha YZ125, Suzuki GS450S, Kawasaki ZX10, BMW R100RT to name a few, plus farm bikes and quads) but as always had to curtail my "fun"with getting married and had to be a little more responsible with having children etc....

Now that the children have all grown up and left home, i now have the opportunity to get back on 2 wheels again...

So I have recently purchased a very tidy 1997 ST1100 (non abs) in green only done 80000km, previous 2 owners had definitely looked after it. Its pretty much standard with a Givi top box, higher screen with a Laminar Lip.

Many thanks to all the posters on this forum, it really helped me decide on an ST1100 as my next bike, I didn't want a crotchet rocket so looked at the touring options, was leaning to going back to a Beemer but the feedback on this forum and the condition of the bike i was looking at helped make the final decision, and the price was "right".

Cheers from NZ

B

G'day from SA (South Australia that is)  :grin.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the site.

NandV are our roaming internationals, they've ST1300's in the US and NZ, so maybe if you connect up, you might get a ride with these lovely people and my National Rally roomies.

I'm riding a 2000 ST1100 myself, in the best colour, which definitely isn't green. :butt

Cheers

G’day Bruiser, welcome! My good lady is from a farm near Whatawhata, she’ll be back visiting in a couple weeks. We’ll be over this Christmas with both the kids, we’re hoping to make a trip out to Tauranga then, we’ll have to keep an eye out for you!
