I've been in China for a week picking up riding tips.  Like us, many riders prefer riding on the left.  The fact the cars don't agree is immaterial.

Bikes can carry anything.  And go anywhere.

Even overpasses have a bike lane.

You don't have to get out of the traffic to use the mobile, but some do.

There are far more electric bikes than petrol, and they come in all sizes (except touring).

And carry absolutely anything.

Yep, saw a bunch of those, and I have no idea why the covered scooters aren't sold here.  No interested importers, I guess.  I saw only 3 litre+  bikes- a Harley, a Wing and a Yamaha.
