:think1 As a newbie i consider this a logical question
what does RTE stand for ? :fp
-
There's no silly questions........
RTE stands for Ride To Eat. An eating place is nominated as the gathering point, we ride, we meet, we eat, we chat and look at each other's bikes, and then we ride home again. It's a good formula for a day on the bike. :thumbsup

The main reason we have the dining location as the meeting point is that it takes the pressure off the less experienced trying to keep up with the more experienced which can happen in a group ride.

You can ride your heart out to and from. During the stop we avachat. Eating is optional. Some choose to ride in a small group or with a mate. You might be a loner and that's OK. We don't do many "group rides"- maybe one a year at the National Rally.

:thumb mate , thank you for your reply . Made me think and thats is a wonderful thing in my situation .
I reviewed my reasons for wanting to join this wonderful club and your reply covered most of it .
I really do ride my heart out at every opportunity , not with speed but conviction and in return i get a feeling of unmatched enjoyment , it makes me so happy and thats why i find it almost impossible to stop . I then realised that every one else must feel the same or they wouldnt be on a ride .... i have been a lone wolf for to long at work and play , its time for change.
Hope to catch up with you one day and shake your hand .
Regards
Gazza

Gaza, I can't speak for the Tassie crew, (as a recent newbie) if they're anything like the Qld bunch, I'm sure they are, the RTE feel is a very easy place to start meeting members. No pressure, everyone is very welcoming. AND there is a lot of knowledge if you need to ask questions.

Thanks mate , i have been known to overthink on the odd occasion before .
The ST is now my relief mechanism as i have been married for 20yrs . Unlike my sex life , my sense of humour is still intact hahaha.
Cant wait to think up me next ride and does not bother me in the slightest if i do them alone if no one wants to go , i enjoy every second riding , nothing has changed there over the 40 yrs i have been riding.
This weekends ride portrayed in a couple of pics is here .
Catch up for a ride one dat .
Cheers

Nice pics Gazza...all of them🤓

I've always thought that finding a place which serves good food is the reason for motorbiking, the bike is just the mechanism by which we get from eating place to eating place. Enjoyable but not the main focus of the event.

Sorry made a meal of my first reply to this ,,, pardon the pun
I use my bike as not only as an enjoyable mode of transport to get to a eatery , but as a total entertainment package .
As soon as i pull up , my thoughts go to whats around that next corner or over that hill, Its my passion ,
Had A practice RTE last weekend ,lone ranga style :eat . the food was great like the coffee and gave me time to plan the where to next and the trip back home . Maybe i liked it :thumbs haha
