Heather had her shoulder injury repaired on Wednesday. The injury happened at Wudinna when she was getting off the bike at our fuel stop during our 2017 Border Ride.
Because of my wet weather being wet from the rain she changed her method of getting off and slipped and fell on the ground. Over time most of the pain abated but with limited movement it was decided to try a surgical repair.
It's a bit long but the link explains it better than I can. https://orthoinfo.aaos.org/en/diseases--conditions/rotator-cuff-tears
For the next four weeks Heather will have her left arm in a sling and for at least the next two weeks while the wound heals won't be doing much. The pain is a lot worse than the original injury and only just manageable with Nurofen, Panadol and Oxycodone all doing their part. The Oxy. makes her drowsy as well and sleeping takes most of the pain away until the next lot of tablets.
