Has anyone had any experience with these and if so would they share their thoughts?

Nope, from me!
I suppose you mean these: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/35L-UGLYBROS-Mach-6-Hard-Shell-Case-Motorcycle-Sport-Bike-Backpack-Stealth-Bag/263292827312?hash=item3d4d79b6b0%3Ag%3AEYAAAOSw4GVYR7CT&_sop=16&_nkw=hard+shell+backpacks&_from=R40&rt=nc&LH_TitleDesc=0 (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/35L-UGLYBROS-Mach-6-Hard-Shell-Case-Motorcycle-Sport-Bike-Backpack-Stealth-Bag/263292827312?hash=item3d4d79b6b0%3Ag%3AEYAAAOSw4GVYR7CT&_sop=16&_nkw=hard+shell+backpacks&_from=R40&rt=nc&LH_TitleDesc=0)

I wonder what the risk to the spine is in an off.

Until I googled them yesterday I didn't know they were back packs and thought they we back support thingies. I haven't heard any warnings about them but did watch a youtube review last night after creating this thread.

I can now say that it shouldn't be an issue. I went and had a look at some at a motorcycle accessories shop before the RTE this morning. They aren't that hard at all. Hard enough to keep their shape when blown by the wind but would certainly be flattened if you fell on one.

:thumbs Thanks for the research.
