Title: Manum for Lunch
Post by: StinkyPete on September 26, 2018, 04:48:09 PM
Today's forecast was for 25 degrees, and I reckon these first spring days are some of the best days of the year.   What better excuse for a day out on "GhoST"!   A mate with a V-Strom and I decided at short notice to ride to the Pretoria Hotel at Mannum for lunch, so we were off by 10.30.    We had a stop for coffee at the Woodside Provindore, and on to Mannum.   There have been a couple of RTE's at this pub,  which has a nice veranhah overlooking the River Murray, which was exactly where we plonked ourselves for a couple of hours of company and conversation.   Mark has never been to Mannum before, but clearly it won't be his last trip.    It was a great day out.

We (me, wife and kids) shall be overnighting in Mannum the weekend after next.  Hopefully we'll get great weather too.

Make sure you visit the Mannum Dock Museum  https://goo.gl/maps/1wJeyXdVXnM2   which explores the riverboat era history.   Upstairs is a fantastic interactive area for the kids, where I spent quite a bit of time.    :grin
