Gday all,
I had the phone mounted on the bike and it occurred to me to video the new gear indicator in action. Here is a snippet.
Cheers, Shaun
Edit: BBcode doesn't seem to be parsing this link. BBCode is:

I created a mount for the magnet out of some plastic bits I had. It needed to be wedge shaped so that the magnet would move parallel to the plane of the sensor coils. I eventually mounted it on the forward side of the gear lever.
It is taped in place at the moment, to allow for fine movements so that I get true positive readings and I am happy with where it is now. I have marked it off ready to araldite or some other form of adhesive.
Cheers, Shaun

Shaun, I can't get the link to work :CB--
I've tried the following combinations:

Yeah that seems to work Kev. I only got it to work in IE using that method, but at least it can be seen.

c/p into IE browser.

:runyay
Finally! Thanks Kev and Shaun. My default is iGoogle, and also tried Firefox (neither of which would play it), but IE won the day :hatwave
Anyway, it looks good. I tried installing mine on Friday but couldn't find anywhere to mount the pickups other than on the plastic, and I didn't want to do that as what happens when I take the tupperware off.
I'll work on it.. :think1

do not understand how to make it work

I mounted mine on the plastic, but used screws and nuts (little bitty ones). When I need to remove the plastic I just unscrew the pickups first. I have labelled mine T and B (for top and bottom) so I put them back right!

PS Royst1100, copy the following:
www.flickr.com/apps/video/stewart.swf?v=109786 (http://www.flickr.com/apps/video/stewart.swf?v=109786)]http://width="400" height="300" flashvars="intl_lang=en-us&photo_secret=e2aa9cea40&photo_id=6952306984" bgcolor="#000000" allowFullScreen="true"
and paste into the Internet Explorer browser bar where you would normally type a webpage address.
Then press the play button.
For some reason, that is the only way it wants to play from outside flickr.
