It looks like I've got quite a bit of riding still in my future, Governments permitting.

If he is nearly 100 and only been riding 50 years, then he started late.  Wot thuh

I wasn't far off 50 when I started riding.  I wish I discovered bikes sooner.

Last July was 50 years since I got my bike license

People's work doesn't always lend itself to riding as a hobby.  But mostly it's family pressures.  I told my teenager who wasn't especially well-coordinated that I'd help him buy a car rather than a motorbike.  That meant I couldn't buy a motorbike myself at that stage...   :-[
