Looked in the garage today and found an ST1300 - Haven't had it out it since Sept 18 for rego and a 250km ride in Feb 18 🤔, so I thought I had better spruce it up and learn how to ride again 😍

You've just made one lonely little ST very happy. He was probably sitting there, like in the movie "Toy Story", thinking fondly but sadly of the old days "when he loved me" :'(.
He's sure got a big smile on now - looks fantastic.
Now - go on both of you, and have some fun :thumbs

Thanks Steve - Looks so good all cleaned up - Cant wait to get on it now :slvr13 :grin

I've got a sidestand puck like that which I carry in my pie warmer. It's a bit shorter...

It was a great day for a ride :thumbsup- A nice 100km ride to Gloucester and back. It took about 75kms to get that relaxed feeling again where I was happy to flick the bike around, and I got a bit of slow riding practice in Gloucester's main st, with people walking out on pedestrian crossings like they were going to cross, but then didnt :fp

Fantastic! That's a great looking STeed, what with the matching helmet and all. Must have been great to get out again. What caused the poor thing to be so neglected?

It's good to see the old girl is on the road again. Bikes don't like to keep company with the dust that is found at the back of sheds. :well

Bit hard to explain - My stepson passed away 2 years ago and I lost the nerve to be on the bike - Seemed to remind me of our mortality >:()
This week the feeling lifted and I had the urge to be back on the road again. Only a few Ozstocers knew, and I thank them for their support they gave me :thumbs

Ah. Sorry to pry but thanks for sharing.
I won't be trite and say that I understand, because I've not been there, but I can only imagine the difficulty getting through something like that.
It's beaut that you are out again and able to enjoy it.
