Title: Late starter in the saddle
Post by: dicko on April 29, 2012, 10:36:41 AM
Hi everybody,

Dicko here to say G'day. I am a bit of a late starter on the bike. Got my licence 7 years ago at age 49, although I did a bit of farm riding as a kid. Started out on a VT-750 Shadow for about four years and upgrade to my luvly ST1300 three years ago.  I now have 98,000 Kms on the clock and she is still going strong.

Look forward to catching up on a ride next time one is planned.

cheers

Dicko

Welcome Dicko, you have fallen into a great collection of weirdo's and general nutters who's sole claim to sanity is that we all own either an ST 100 or an ST1300...and we all love them dearly. Have fun here and if you have any questions please ask them, one of our nutters will know the answer!!

Brock, he's from Burleigh heads on the Gold Coast, so he's one of US!!!

Cheers

Hey Guys thanks for the welcome.  Brock my missus is from WA originally does that help?  She had the sense to move east though LOL.

Yeah I'm from Burleigh Waters (a couple of K's from the beach)

Welcome dicko. Not sure but the way I read your first post is that you have done 98,000 on your ST1300, is that correct? If so, for a late starter you are catching up fast.

Hi Dicko - great to see you're punching out the miles on the ST.

There are plenty of opportunities to go on group rides if that's your cup of tea - or sit back and enjoy the wealth of imperative and thought provoking material that sometimes makes an appearance here (check blue moon dates!)      :rofl

Thanks for the intro and hope to see you round somewhere.       :thumb

Cheers, Diesel

Welcome Dicko Hope you have lots of fun here tho they are a strange lot, specially those Banana Benders & their desperate grasp for attention over that T Shirt thing.

Dicko   do NOT PAY ATTENTION TO ANY POSTS FROM WA
they are heart broken and crushed because they are NOT on the east coast
the rest of us just nod and continue on

be VERY wary of Brock   ANOTHER WA sort
