Title: ST1100 Starting Up

Hi All, I am new to this site. I have had a number of ST's over the years including Police Motorcycles. Both the 1100 and 1300's.
I have just purchased 2000 ST1100. There are a few issues with it. One it will not start with the stand down, and it will not start unless the clutch is pulled in, I have never come across this before.
Is this a new trend or is there something wrong with the wiring.

Cant start in gear with side stand down, they can get cranky at times. I probably need to replace my clutch switch
