Yahoo!...........no more cold hands for this little Tassie Devil. :beer
I finished fitting the OEM Heated Grips today and could hardly wait to start the bike to see if they worked...............well did they??
Ya darn tooten they did!!.................and don't they heat up fast, and hot. I had no problems fitting the Quartet Harness or the grips but I won't be in a hurry to take off, and refit, the left inner and middle cowl again :o|||..........what a prick of a job! The taking off wasn't a problem at all, it was the getting back on of the inner cowl that was a pain. I foolishly didn't take a lot of notice of how it was fitted before taking it off, and it's a little tricky to get back on when you're flyin blind.
But it's all finished and working...................I'll let you know how I like them after my next cold morning ride.
Cheers all,
Couch

Ahhh, the old inner cowls :o
Once you've done it the first time, its a whole lot easier. I found the biggest problem is when you don't tuck all the wiring bits and pieces back into their little nooks and crannies before sliding the cowls back up inside (making it too squeezy). How much did you pay for the OEM grips? Online from overseas or local dealer?

I brought the grips online from Honda East Toledo in Ohio, cost was $170.99 AU + freight..............sorry I can't remember how much the freight cost was. They arrived within about a week of ordering.
I can't wait to try them John :)

I also have fleecy lined gloves for winter riding although I'd rather not use them as they're a little bulky. We rode 375kls not so long ago with temps rangeing somewhere between about 3 -7 degrees...................and although I had my winter gloves on that was the first time my hands felt really cold.....hence the Heated Grips!
