What is the best screen for the 1300? Cheers

Hi Adam
I had a CalSci medium screen and loved it on the trip across the nullabor and halfway home. :thumb
It did a great job of cutting wind noise and buffeting. the screen died along with the turkey, :fp I now have another one on the way as it is such an improvement over stock. If you search CalSci you should find an earlier post that shows the difference to the stock screen :grin

AJ,
i've been looking at an eagle screen, original height but wider, just need to save a bit.
original screen I was quoted at close to $900 :rd13

I have a National Cycle V Stream works quite well it is a lot wider at the top than stock and seems to push the air & rain out past you. I would highly recommend it. cost approx $210 from the us.

Gotta go withe V-Stream, you won't get better but it is ugly!

yea, its a little bit like marring a fat lady with tattoes but a least you get warmth in winter, shade in summer and moving pictures all year round.

Just fitted a Bike-Quip.com screen to my bike yesterday. .Delivered from the UK for $235. I bought it while the Aus dollar was $1.05.
Two inches wider each side and 1 inch higher with lip to push air up and over. I just have to find the time to see what difference it has made to the ride for me and the Mrs.
Cheers

What size screen did you get Greg? Does your pillion get more wind on them. I am 6.1 , do you have the screen fitted on the lower holes?

Hi Adam.
as far as I know the v stream only comes in one size. I am about 5ft9 have the screen set on the low settings and usually run with it set so I can just see the top bolt over the dash. When I take Kim on the bike I raise it up a bit she does say there is a bit of turbulance but nothing to complain about. Screens can be a personal choice. I personally dont like having the screen to high as I start to feel a bit clostrophobic unless it is pi$$ing down. in rain you do really get a good idea how the v stream works with the water being pushed towards the outside from the v section of the scrren. at the end of the day sometimes you have to try something to see if it suits you.
Cheers Greg
