Greetings all,
Hope you are all coping well with the isolation situation?
So I started researching ST1100's a year ago with the plan of buying one later in the year. Well here we are a year later and im finally ready to pick one up. I have been looking at one that I am hopefully going to buy in the next few days.
What I would like to ask all you good people is, what things are important to check on an ST before I agree to buy? Are there any indicators of possible problems I should be aware of? I remember reading somewhere about making sure the ABS light has not been removed, indicating a problem with the ABS system? is that easy to check? Are there any other tips like this anyone could share?
Thank you all in advance and I hope to be joining some of you on a ride real soon.
Cheers
Geoff

Check the steering head bearings

Check the suspension (if it has a lot of difference between the measurements it may need some work)

Finally ask about the service history.
That's about it for my suggestions apart from taking it for a ride and seeing how it runs.
Cheers

Cheers Shiney, I found those links very helpful. Its been 30 years since I last owned a bike. I have a lot to catch up on. My last ride was a Suzuki GT 750.
I think that MC Garage will be seeing a lot of views from me :thumb
Thanks for your input
