We stood with lighted candles in our driveway at 0555hrs, and it was lovely to see flickering candles from residents in their driveways all up and down the street. The Ode and Last Post were played on the radio, and we all observed a minute silence. There was then time for a "socially distanced" chat with neighbours as the sun sky slowly lightened with a glorious orange glow heralding the sunrise.

For number one son and his family too. Particularly relevant for them as Anthony served 20 years, and served in Afganistan before retiring a couple of years back.
Jane took a couple of pics.

The grandsons wearing their great grandfathers', and great great grandfather's medals.
The boys made some wreaths.
