I remember lost mates every day, but today is special.

Just raised my Australian Flag, protocol says half mast from 10:30 to 11:03 so alarm set.

I was volunteering at our local hospital, and it was great to observe that when the Announcement/Ode/Last Post was made over the internal system, the whole hospital went quite and people stopped walking in the corridors and stood in silence.  Some of the patients in my ward got out of bed and stood to attention.

We lost 2 Paramedics 2 weeks ago - one funeral last week and another tomorrow. They are very much on our minds atm. Thankyou to all who have served and paid the ultimate price for doing so  :-++

We pull the buses to the side of the road and Last Post gets played over the radio.
