Boy does this make for some interesting reading:-

Fail to have full control, uninterrupted view, at least
one hand on handlebars (motor bikes only) or both

For Bicycles
Infringement code 2232
Ride more than two abreast
Fine $165

I can't see any problem with the example you gave.  Fines here tend to be more expensive than those in Victoria and they slap a victim of crime levy ($60 approx) on top of that.  Fortunately I have never received a driving/riding infringement.

My favourites are:

2071
Fail to have headlights, tail lights and number plate lights on at night or in hazardous weather conditions.                               
Penalty 1 Demerit Point.

2129
Fail to display 'P' plates when and as required.
Penalty 3 Demerit Points.

Because it's so much more dangerous to not display your P Plates compared to driving at night without your headlight on...  :|||| :fp

Some years ago a FarRider from NSW was pinged in SA for having too many lights on his Gold Wing.
