Title: Regarding my previous posting about noise under seat
Post by: curious1 on November 03, 2021, 02:54:15 PM
I consulted some MC mechanic and he came across a VFR with a howling fuel pump similar to my noise. He suggested to add Motul fuel additiv to the petrol. It feels like an lubricat with some cleaning properties, First test it worked but can anybody tell me how much fuel is in the secondary tank where the fuel pump lives?

I'm pretty sure it's five (5) litres.

which doesn't matter because you dilute the additive on the basis of 29 litres, since the only way you can work on 5 litres is to run the fuel down to the flashing light then add just enough for 5 litres. Why bother? Just add it to a full tank and let it do its job on the whole engine for the duration.
