Hello to all,
I have been a Bike rider since day one, although my ST1100 (2005) is my first road bike. This is a Great web site with loads of useful info and interesting people.
Look forward to the next ride and to meeting some of you,

Welcome Pete, :runyay
Get an OzSTOC shirt, get to a ride and get your picture taken with the other hunks from the West. :p
For your Info:
We, the West, held the World Record for the most OzSTOC shirts in a photo. That is until some other state (can't recall who and they aren't worth mentioning anyway) managed to muster enough bystanders (from the local Salvo's shelter) to don a shirt (they have an unlimited supply of them, shirts and bystanders) and stand still long enough to have their pic taken. They then had the nerve to claim the title as theirs. :-(((
Needless to say...................................... well it's needless, so I'm not saying. :-X
The guys from the West are gilt-edged gentlemen :thumb. The rest, with a few exceptions (Tazzy and Norfolk Island to name but 2), you have to keep your eye on :p.
Take care and enjoy, (GET A SHIRT)

Hi Pete,
Welcome to funny farm from SA where some of us have ties with the wait awhile state (WA) and used to live in for nearly 4 years.
I know some early 1300's had some issues but to call it an 1100 (last model in 2002) is another thing all together. Whatever the model at least you an ST.....lol
-
Welcome Pete, enjoy your time here.
Mine is a 2004 plated model ST1100P

The last 1100P bike info I have is the 2003 model in Europe which went for a couple years and the 1300P released in 2005. An 1100P near the end of the run in early 2005 is feasable.
-
Last P model bike was 2003 (I got one), the last general model was 2002. I know this cos I had great trouble getting insurance for the bike as they said 2002 was the last model :|||| :|||| :||||
It took some effort on some ones part to get it fixed.
Any way welcome and enjoy.

Hi YA,
Yeah, it's an ex law enforcement. It has 2005 on its compliance plate. She's only has 30K on her clock.
-
Hi & welcome to the site we need a get together here in WA for all of us to meet
-
Wow, thats a good buy then Peter. Mine was a 2003 with 35K
Have a look in the 1100 section, there is a workshop manual in there, and the police addendum as well. Should you wish it , I can help you to refit the imobliser that was fitted by the plods.
-
Yeah..that immobilizer...a pain in the posterior. Just another key to deal with and does need to be removed. I just put some Road pilot-2 tires on the girl and am ready for some K's. And even though there is a corbin seat on her..it is still uncomfortable after and hour in the saddle. Was thinking maybe...sheep skin...?
-
Havent tried a Corbin, but I had my after market seat adjusted by a motor trimmer in Wangarra, its now like a comfortable chair
-
Yeah..I'll go to a motor trimmer tomorrow for their advice...it can really put a downer on the ride. With this plod switch..is it just trim the wire back and short them together ???
-
If you take the left side panel off, just down about where the left toe would be, you should see a green wire with a black trace that has a bullet connector at the end. that should be connected to a wire that disappears up towards the front. Un plug the wire, and the mating wire and plug the two green wires back to each other.
That should be it. Any problem, leave it alone until we can meet up and I will fix it for you, it wont take long to do.

Brock, or should that be Bro?
I want to get my stock seat adjusted. Someone else mentioned a motor trimmer in Wangarra, do you have an address or contact number so I can go and see what he can do for me?
Cheers Bro

Peter, Welcome the looney-bin. As you can see these threads go off topic really quickly. If it's any consolation when I first joined up in January and described my STead, I was pointedly told by various people that my Red, 2004, ST-1300 either wasn't Red or wasn't a 2004, this despite the fact that I was looking at it and am not colour blind, and also had the rego papers in my hand and can read quite well. So take no notice!
Enjoy your stay and please feel free to ask the assembled grey-beards any complex technical questions, there's usually some-one who will know the answer!
Cheers

Pete,
It is time we had another RTE in Perth. So let us know if you are ordering an OzSTOC tee shirt, if you are we can do so once your tee shirt has arrived. If not then we will just have one any way.
