G'day
my ST1100 was immersed in 600mm of flood water recently but I am getting it all sorted, the clutch plates were stuck together and I have dumped the engine oil 4 times plus there was a load hiss up front, I figured the timing belt guide rollers/sprockets were stuffed, when Honda feels like it I will have them, it the mean time I looked at timing marks, strangely my crankshaft pulley only has the T1 marks but no centre punch mark at 3 o'clock, so has anyone else had the same thing being no centre punch mark opposite the casting pointer?
cheers Joejamo

If you look just above the left side of the pulley, you can see the centre punch mar. The pulley needs to come right a few degrees to line up the marl next to the T...
Have a look at page 8-12 of the maintenance manual for more info..

Hi Brock, thanks for your reply, I am aware that the c/shaft pulley needs to revolve a little to be right on the T mark but was expecting a c/pop mark way over at 3 o'clock next to the projection, they go to great lengths to say how imperative to have both the T mark and the c/punch marks lined up but I see no mark, it is Punch mark in my manual, page 8-12 in my book (PDF)
Cheers Joe

What am I missing, Joe

Your photo has what appears to be an indentation about midway in above the right hand arrow. If that was lined up, the T line would also line up with its mark.

This one?

Cheers Joe.
