It sounds like you'd better not hold your breath waiting for EV prices to fall...  :think1

He is acerbic and dismissive about everything, particularly EVs. That is his stock in trade or brand.

I don't rate his opinion any higher than a know-it-all drunk at the pub.

Australia and South America have the world's richest deposits of Lithium and Iron.

Phosphate is in plentiful supply.

I don't agree, I reckon he tells it like it is and just doesn't give a toss if he offends car dealers, car companies & others...
If you watch some of his videos on EV's he's actually not dismissive of all of them at all, for example, you should watch his video on the 2023 MG ZS EV! (https://youtu.be/Evi1jpF-xxE)

I don't rate his opinion any higher than a know-it-all drunk at the pub.

But in this case it's apparently the opinion of "insiders" in the mining industry, those you'd think would be in the know...  :think1

Yet, all the EV manufacturers are expanding production capacity.

If what he said is true, the manufacturers (the key insiders) are setting themselves up for failure. I don't think their accountants, fiduciary experts, management or boards would allow it.

In fact John Cadogan is a big fan of the Kona EV and a number of other EV's.

I don't rate his opinion any higher than a know-it-all drunk at the pub.

He is very divisive with his views and opinion, as well as his delivery.  But like him or loathe him, he's upfront with his background, experience and qualifications, something that many of the other commentators and key board experts are not.

Australia and South America have the world's richest deposits of Lithium and Iron.

Phosphate is in plentiful supply.

I don't think that is in doubt, but according to the quote from one of the industry experts, (para-phrasing) it not getting the stuff out of the ground that is the problem, it's more a matter of planning to get it out of the ground.

Yes, the bean counters won't want a missed opportunity.
