Title: The castle has been sold.
Post by: ppopeye on May 09, 2023, 04:55:55 PM
We have today accepted an offer on our house which is another step towards retirement living in the ‘Country Club’in Bendigo.   Domain Bendigo Country Club.

The house is a private sale which is of benefit to both parties.

We will move in about 3-4 months.

The only constant in life is change. Its a bit scary. We last moved house 49 years ago.

Life in the country here w come.

I'm rather pleased to hear that you have had a quick sale, and while to move to the country is a bit scary, there will be great new opportunities and challenges.   Best Wishes......   :thumbsup

Part 2. Contracts have been a bit slow but we signed the house sale today and the village contract is being sorted and settlement dates aligned. Looks like moving at the end of September.

More downsizing and sorting is in our future.

Anyone know good removalists?

Probably not. Only been there 49 years

We had been in old house for 33 years.  It only took 4 or 5 trailer loads to the tip, a couple of hard rubbish collections and dozens of "free to good home" items on the nature strip over 3 or 4 months, to get the house ready to rent.   A few items have been left under the old house (with the tenants' agreement), still have too much stuff in the new house.

We survived the process, the marriage did too.
