Yesterday morning I woke up just after midnight (even early by my standards) so got up, made a coffee and loaded the Goldwing for a trip to Balranald. This is what its Navi was showing when I arrived at a rest area in Kingston On Murray.

My first refuel was at Renmark, just like it was on the way to the 2019 Balranald Ride To Eat. On that day was there on first light, this time a bit earlier.

My second refuel was at Mildura. This motel is across the road from there and was my digs for the night on the day after the Harrow RTE of 2018.

Minutes later I was taking the Goldwing into New South Wales for the first time. I am pretty sure it's my first incursion into New South Wales since the 2019 Balranald RTE.

Can I tow it?

Balranald sure likes its frogs. These are all over town.

My cabin wasn't ready so I killed a lot of time on town checking out the discovery centre, some old buildings and then walked on this swinging footbridge.

Once in my cabin and unloading was done Glen brought around his Goldwing and showed me a few things. PC and Rex would wander over too and for more wing chat. After everyone dispersed I took out the South Australian flag.

I actually went for a walk around the caravan park and river as well, something I have never really done on other Balranald RTEs in the past. JD's St was the only ST I saw on the entire trip. There maye have been others, but I didn't see any.

That walk continued on into town and went into the RSL at 1700ish hours. I had three cheeky pints before others arrived and a fourth at dinner.

Despite being in New South Wales and Victorians outnumbering the rest the only flag to make it was from SA and it came out for a photo. Get well soon Williamson. I know you would have had the Victorian flag there. Overall it was a good representation of the states with members from Queensland (PC and Marion), the ACT (Stroppy) and Western Australia (West Aussie Glen) also making interstate trips.

Brookester said if I didn't post a picture of the large steel frog he would be disappointed so I snapped it on the way back to the caravan park. Actually, I had seen it on the way to dinner but I didn't snap it because I had enough photos of frogs (and truth be known I don't like frogs) so I knew exactly what he was taking about.

Day one done and dusted.
Only a few stops on the way home today along the reverse course I took to the 2017 Balranald RTE. The second one was at the Manangatang railway station in Victoria.

On the way home I noticed that Lameroo now has silo art. I didn't stop for a picture because it was quite foggy and next month's SA RTE is at the Lameroo Hotel so I'll have an opportunity then.

Thanks for sharing BG.
Not sure what I'm supposed to see in the first pic. Very conservative with the fuel stops on the way there. Yes, on the mend, out for a Mother's Day Lunch with some of the family, looking forward to the next RTE.

Nothing especially, other than it was the first photo I took on the day. I prefer the night display over the daytime display. You can see the Murray river and state borders on he screen.

Great RR and pics Bodo San, thanks for sharing.

The time is correct. It's the date I can't change.

Took it in for its first service since I bought it on wednesday, and also asked them to have some new tyres fitted and spare keys coded. I did mention the navi date and speaker issues. They couldn't do anything about the navi but noticed the original cables for the speakers disconnected and the cables to the amplifier attached instead. Disconnecting those and putting the original cables back on the speakers now work. I know last weekend I said it wasn't a big deal, but I must admit I did like listening to the radio as I rode it back home.

... I know last weekend I said it wasn't a big deal, but I must admit I did like listening to the radio as I rode it back home.
I remember the time late one afternoon back in the late 80's, I left Warracknabeal heading for Mildura for the night, slipped a Top Gun cassette into the slot in the dash of the (red plate, Government issue) Nissan Pintara, found 5th gear and listened to a very loud Kenny Loggins punching out Danger Zone, looked down to glance at the speedo.
Mmmmm .... 140, better slow down.
Music is good whilst driving/ riding, but it has a potential to destroy my perspective of speed. All things good, in moderation.

The wing has cruise control.

I have about 35 albums on a memory stick and they almost last the four days to Victor Harbor which I do a few times a year.
I enjoy the music from the speakers as against ear pieces.

I copied quite a few of my albums to one yesterday and did a quick test on the AUX and that works too. I'll test it out next time I'm out on an open highway. Today, however, I'm not travelling far so the Versys will get the nod. It too is due for a service.

The Garmin Zumo GPS has an inbuilt media player which I loaded up with my favourite tracks & Bluetoothed to the helmet.
Couldn't work out why my playlists kept repeating the same selected songs.
Pulled up the files on my laptop to find the majority of songs I'd added in recent times were MP4 tracks & only the MP3 tracks were playing.
Then came the tedious effort of converting all the MP4s to MP3.
But I now have a lot of new tracks to listen to o:)

Fortunately I was on the ball with that. I had a couple of tracks that were on the .wmv format but they weren't on the ones I copied.

Hi Shillas, if you ever need to convert music to MP3s I can recommend this free program: https://www.mediahuman.com/audio-converter/ (https://www.mediahuman.com/audio-converter/)
I've used it for years, mainly converting flac files to MP3 but it converts a wide variety of files.
It will convert a full (music) album of flac files to MP3s in a matter of seconds...
Oh, and it's very easy to use too... :thumbs

Running it now on some of my concert videos. :like

I've just used VLC. It does the job well and fast, it was just the sheer volume of albums to convert.
Just need to remember that when I'm importing CD's & vinyl to choose the MP3 option for now.
