The high ground clearance, spoked wheels, hand guards and bash plate look a bit odd on a "tourer".
Or are they meant for Bodo's type of "tour"?    :grin
The more appropriate descriptor in the video is "ADV".

I guess you only have to look at the popularity of BMW's GS to see why this style of bike is called a "tourer" as the BM seems to be the go-to bike for serious touring these days...

While I love my ST, it would be nice to have something a little bit lighter and more suitable for transversing dirt roads like the CFMoto on occasion.   :think1

I do very much enjoy having my V-Strom 1000 for touring and riding down unsealed roads with Julie on the back. It performed as well as my ST in Tasmania and allowed me to take the both of us up Jacobs Ladder (and I know a couple of brothers and their wives did that ride on their ST's during the 2019 Rally - but I'm not that skilled or brave to take an ST up there). It also allowed us to do the Western Explorer down through Corunna on the west coast of Tassie - something I'd never have done on the ST.
I found the weight of the ST when 2Up getting a bit much for me and we both went down once or twice (when stationary - thankfully) when a leg slipped out. Picking the bike up when loaded for touring was no fun either.
Sadly I sold the ST earlier this year - only because I didn't have room for a 3rd bike and bought the new Himalayan. I don't regret the purchase, the bike is a fun machine.
I do regret selling the ST, but I have the memories of so many great trips. IMHO there is no better black top touring bike, past or present.

Some of yesterday's ride I wasn't planned.  There's a portion I wouldn't have taken any bike down had I known that the road was going to be like.

I sat on a CF Moto before buying the Versys in 2015 when looking at bikes.  It didn't allow me to sit upright and the thought of leaning forward for eight hours didn't appeal.  I'm not sure what this one is like though.

I had a passing look at the 800MT in my quest for a "lighter" bike.    The pillion seat was a bit sparse,  the height of that pillion seat would make it hard to get my leg over, and at 230kg, it's still a bit heavier than I'd like.

I had a sit on one of these a couple of years ago when looking at another bike for a mate.
The CFMoto was good and has a lot of standard extras.
If I was looking for an adventure bike it would be on the short list :thumbsup
