It’s with a heavy heart that we inform the wider OzSTOC community of the tragic passing of one of our own. STroppy (Terry) from the ACT was on his ST1300 returning from this years Boarder Run into S.A.
We offer our profound condolences to Terrys family and friends and our sincere sympathy to his extended OzSTOC motorcycle family who have shared some road time with STroppy.
We will advise when more details are forthcoming.
I picture STroppy and Saaz cracking a red and toasting old trips of winding roads and fine riding weather.
Reach out if you wish a chat or a more formal avenue.

Rip mate thoughts with family & friends one of life’s true Gentleman ride on strop you will be missed by your family & your ozstoc family 😪😪😪

I didn't know Terry like many of you, but I did have the pleasure of spending several hours in our cabin at Border Village Saturday evening chatting about family, life and our experiences riding. Those two hours I will both cherish and also have feelings of regret. Regret that I didn't get to know Terry much earlier in my Ozstoc journey.
Terry was very much looking forward to catching up with his grandchildren in Adelaide and it's so incredibly sad the accident happened in these circumstances.
The Ozstoc family has lost a true gentleman and he will be missed by us all.
Sincere condolences to all who knew and loved him.

One of Life’s Gentlemen gone too soon , Rest in Peace Terry , Condolences to his Family and my Heart felt Sympathies to our OZSTOC family.

Rest In Peace Terry. You will be missed by many.

Oh dear! What a loss!
RIP Terry, you'll be missed. I shared a few rides, roads, chats and (of course) beers. You always had something worthwhile to say, but then I'll listen to anything.
Pics from the RTE to Silverton in 2021. Share you pics of Terry.

Awful news to hear, and we expect to drive past the accident site in the next day or so as we head west with the van. I'm dreading that part of our drive. Stay strong everyone and look after each other aw we grieve the loss of our friend in such tragic circumstances.
-
I've had the pleasure of knowing and riding with Terry over the last 12 years from my first encounter with the club in 2013 in Middleton along with a lot of the old guard as it were, some of whom have drifted off and others i am fortunate to still see.
I have great memories of riding over the paddock and back with Terry and Stephen leading up to Tassie in 2019 among many other rides.
A gentleman among gentleman indeed as Chris has so succinctly stated whose presence i will personally greatly miss.
-
Share you pics of Terry.
I have quite a few from over the years, but this is drone footage of him riding to the Eucla Telegraph Station last saturday morning.

May I have your permission to share this photo as part of Terry's funeral service?
If so, perhaps you could insert your name at the bottom of the photo so it can be properly acknowledged.

We drove past the accident site yesterday on our caravan journey to the west. I found it rather upsetting and confronting. There are still lots of motorcycles on the road. Stay safe everyone.

Good morning everyone, I have been asked if anybody would like to give eulogies at Terrys funeral service.
If someone is saying some nice words about Terry, please see if you can include from Helen and me that Terry was a real nice guy, always has something worthwhile to say, would always listen to what others had to say, will be sorely missed and will leave a big BIG gap for family, friends and with OzSTOC.

Terry, I pray that you rest in peace, and I know that your spirit is held safe. Thanks for the memories and the friendship. Vera, very well said, as well as your thoughts and words expressed at Terry's memorial service last week.
Sorry I'm a week late with this post but being in isolated areas of Outback QLD comes difficulties with internet access, particularly if you're cheap like Helen and I with have low-cost mobile plans. Access is now good, as we are staying put for five days in Port Douglas - more on that elsewhere.
