It looks like we won't be heading to Toowoomba next year (family get together sometime in March and not in my hands). Anyway, if I am free for a ride that weekend I'm pretty sure i'll probably head into the country rather than the city.

Given myself, Pete & Chris & Bodø are heading to the rally & the others that attend the RTEs are regional, any suggestions for a regional based RTE then?

Happy to shift it to a place that will get you together. Could even be a dinner & dial in to the Nat Rally dinner (I know, stretching it  :grin)

There's every chance we may be in Tasmania then - basically it's too early for me to say. My suggestion would be to get one of the Riverland crew to make a call. If we're about we'd be very likely to attend as we have family in both Loxton and Berri and so we'd make a weekend of it.

Sadly I've had to pull out from attending the NR so my attentions turns to here.

p.s.
Why isn't this or Port Broughton stickied?
(I'd do it myself if I had those permissions).

My intention was to set RTEs as sticky a few months out so it keeps the feed clean looking.

I think stickied posts stand out as those for the future, where as the ones that aren't are past tense.

I was going to ask you at Murray Bridge, but if you could it would be greatly appreciated.

Blanchetown Hotel could be a possible.

Mind you, my son is getting married on the evening of the 21st, so my attendance is extremely unlikely.

Invite them all along for the after reception dinner  :rofl

As I'll be in Toowoomba, I'll leave this up to Bodø & others not going to the National Rally to decide on the destination.

I did the Dutch Pantry last weekend before passing the flag onto you.  On the 22nd I am planning to checkout something in Tarcowie before going to the Carrieton Hotel for lunch.

Hi all, neither dave or I can make this rte dave has been quite unwell but on the mend and it is my 200th wedding anniversary that weekend  so it will be in my best interest not to make any commitments.
Would like to do pt Broughton if I'm available but after doing all the bridges  on the Murray I am hoping to do all the bridges on the Darling, Lachlan and Murrumbidgee this year so will be watching the weather  for the right opportunity to go.

Happy 5 year wedding anniversary.

It just seems like 200.  :rofl

On a serious note, hope Dave continues on the mend & is better soon.

Went to the Tarcowie Hotel to have a sticky beak at a television event, arrived early and had a look at 'town' but didn't bother hanging around.   Then I went to the Carrieton Hotel.  It's safe to say it's bitten the dust.  After a ride through Moockra, Hammond and Melrose I arrived at the Royal Hotel in Crystal Brook, a venue which got moved last year because it was too hot.  I arrived at 1315 to find their kitchen closes at 1300.  They had no Guinness, Heineken, Asahi or Sapporo so this was my Not The National Rally pub grub:
