As you're going to be in Bordertown, as is ppopeye, I've had chats with those attending, plus Langers who was also going to attend but staying elsewhere, thought it was worthwhile moving the  whole RTE Dinner to Bordertown.

Any objections from Phil & Kate?

Would prefer Mundulla ,as have fond memories of meeting the perfect gentleman for the first time , but happy to go with the majority preference👍

I'm thinking I may attend the Vic Holgate Brewhouse, Woodend RTE on the 14th of June, in which case I'll be a non-starter for the 21st (and more than likely I won't be a starter as I've realised I'd have to travel at night with Julie as a pillion, and that's not going to happen).

I think Dragonstaff my be right and we are a curse.  The Willalooka tavern has also just announce they are closed until further notice.  Actually in full it states "We wish to advise that the Willalooka Tavern & Cafe is currently CLOSED until further notice and will reopen in near future with new owners and managers..." so whether they will be open by the time we're due there I don't know.  If it's not I'd be happy to move the lunch to either the Coonalpyn Hotel who have recently started doing lunches or somewhere in Bordertown if someone knows a venue.

I never even thought of Keith, probably because when i think of Keith I think of the Country Fried Chicken that was at the road house (haven't eaten it in yonks though).

Getting back to the RTE. Shillas on April 15 suggested Bordertown as the dinner venue, I think due to accommodation issues. Since then there have been a number of suggestions for the lunch venue (understandably).

What is the state of play with this RTE?

I was planning to go to Adelaide for a day or so during the week. I wont settle on that until the lunch venue is decided. Hoping to have the wing in my trailer if its ready.

After much deliberation and looking at nearby venues, please note that the replacement venue for the Willalooka Tavern for lunch is the Bordertown Hotel, East Terrace Bordertown.

Facebook page has an update on the 18th, but the link in it to an official website appears to be dead(ish) which isn't a good sign.

Home safely too.  Darted straight home to watch my daughter's football to find she was a last minute flu casualty.  Her team won 4-0 to leap frog the league leaders who drew 0-0.

Back home after staying overnight in Beaufort and an extended ride through some back roads and Queenscliff. Mundulla was great as always , thanks Michael and Bodo for organising and for your hospitality 🤓. Some pics to follow courtesy Chippy.

So we are back home after a wonderful 4 day weekend
The weather was cold but perfect as was the company I had while riding pillion (as I always do)
Thank you to our SA OzStoc family… Michael & Bodo for the meet up both for lunch & dinner, & our favourites from Vic Chris & Popeye
Wendy surprised us with a fly in visit & I promised to message her each time there is a VIC RTE … seeing as she belongs to us now
Here’s to the next Fambam meet in Lancefield 🫶
