Well there must be a ghost in the machine as the North Kapunda Hotel has ceased to be.

Can't guarantee the Greenock is haunted, but it is old, established in 1864. 
Greenock is 75km north of Adelaide in the Barossa Valley, just under an hour's travel. The town is located 111km west of Waikerie, also just over an hour's travel.

The gathering has finished so should be quieter.

I've been to pubs where what little of the night I can remember still haunts me, have yet to experience poltergeists. Perhaps an overnighter?

Why does the FB page say that they are permanently closed? Are we the kiss of death for Mid-North pubs this year?

Edit: I have looked further on the web and found no indication that they are closed. It must be a FB thing.

The facebook page has disappeared altogether now.  It was there the other day, so hopefully just a temporary glitch.

Maybe, maybe not.  If last november's pub crawl to Robertstown, Light Pass and Eudunda (amongst others) taught me the writing was already on the wall.  Furthermore following the dramas of the Callington and Carrieton (now Yanyarrie) pubs has been interesting.  Tarcowie has re opened for the first time in sixteen years so it's not all doom and gloom.

Yesterday I went to the Meadows Hotel with the Ride The Fleurieu (RTF) group.  I didn't eat but the one of the group ordered a schnitzel which looked alright and was huge.

On another note, the proprietors of the Ardrossan Hotel have bought the Truro Hotel and set to open that soon so I have put that on the list for 2026 as well.

I'm a late withdrawal - I've been asked to do a house appraisal by my son and the weather and new knobby tyres have helped with the decision. Enjoy lunch and ride safe gents.

Home safely.  It began to rain after arriving at Greenock and now has just began to drizzle here just after unloading the wing.
