Loxton is around 250km, or 3 hours travel east of Adelaide and around 75km from Waikerie.

And it's a sunday.  The closest one I have had was a five minute walk from my house and I indeed walked down.

If it was Sunday 31st August I would join you. Saturday 30 I will be attending an open day at the Toganmain Woolshed and overnighting that night at Balranald.

Julie and I are keen to have lunch at Loxton on Sunday. In fact we reckon we might book a room at the adjoining motel Saturday night and catch up with family.

I have heard conflicting reports about the Loxton Hotel's meals as far as the quality being variable, but had dinner there last Sunday night, and it was very good.

That being said, the lunch venue and menu is not the same as where I had dinner.

Still in, and possibly with Sandy as well.

The food was ok, they do a Senior's Menu, even on a Sunday, with salad & vegie bar, all of which were taken advantage of  :eat  :grin
