My 2011 build, first registered 2013, ST1300 is currently in the shop getting a major service before hitting the road to Toowoomba. Had a call from the mechanic advising that a fork seal is leaking. Apart from tyres, brakes, filters and fluids, this is the first item requiring maintenance in just over 75,000km. I'm disappointed that Honda can't build more durable motorcycles.

My 2008 ST1300 is getting its major service next week before the trip to Toowoomba.
At 204000km, she needs new head gaskets, brake discs & pads & fork seals done.
Very disappointed about the durability of Honda motorcycles.

If it makes you feel any better I just got the Kwaka back from a 201'000km service and it needed new rocker cover seals.

I see a pattern, perhaps there was a faulty batch, perhaps Honda should do a recall!

I see the problem, Honda has been sourcing seals from Kawasaki.

I had my fork seals done a number of times - and then I took it to a specialist motorcycle suspension business. Outcome? Fork seals fixed and cheaper than the dealer.

I`d love to comment but that would cause me grief! :Like:
