Hello all, thought I'd better get a howdy doo post going,

Bob from Berri here  :hatwave  I'm new to the ST scene but not new to bikes.  I live on the Mighty Murray River  :-++ and work for a company called Smokemart as a delivery driver.
Spent 20 years in the Army all over Aust. Retired in 2000 from the service and took up living a life again here  :grin

First bike was a Honda CX 500 ? the offset V twin. Rode it up to Townsville from Brisbane in 1980 and got $200 more as a trade in on a Yamaha 750 Special - the triple. I ended up putting a DJP sidecar on it and that was the first family car till the kids come along.

My wife keeps saying I'm having a mid-life crisis getting the ST but damn. If I'm going to have one I might as well enjoy it  :thumbs  :blu13

I'm making it last as long as possible.  After all, if it's a mid-life crisis, the second half can't start until I've finished with the middle part.   :thumbs

Unfortunately I have always had a bike and ridden since I got my licence, so I can't tell if I have one of those mid-life crises  :think1...if I buy a harley someone set me straight  :spank

Great that you found us and are hopefully having a blast with yer new ride. (We all KNOW you are anyways).

Nice part of the country down Berri way.

I'll be through there early on 8th Sept - (Staying in Mildura 7th) - so if you wanna come for a 150km coffee in the afternoon of the 7th - you'd be most welcome.     :thumb

I recall someone saying that it is better to have a mid-life crisis than to remain the boring old fart one has always been.

Also when I went to university later in life, a mid-life crisis was the life we created after the kids left home which suits me just fine.
