Title: There's something about after-market pipes...
Post by: DaleAP on July 27, 2025, 12:17:14 PM
Had the opportunity to pick up a nice pair of Delkevic slip-ons this morning. Boy do they transform the sound, even with the baffles still fitted! Happy days!!  :thumbs  :bl11

When I had similar fitted to my 1100 I found that long runs at high speed (think the Hay plains) they made a very annoying droneing sound and I changed back to stock. Mind though, they sounded superb coming through the Putty road cuttings. Enjoy.

Given I've previously owned a VTR1000 with loud aftermarket pipes, I don't anticipate a problem.  ;-*

Even a Harley would sound good going through there.

A tip for those riding through the Putty.. A Suzuki Katana 650 doesnt handle very well in those corners...

When the left rear shocky has the shaft unscrewed. Goes much better when its put back together.

I loved the sound of the Delkevics I had on my all my ST1300s :runyay
I wasn't noisy from the rider's position when riding, it was just a pleasant background sound :thumbsup
That being said, it will get loud if you take it high in the rev range :grin
