I got all tough guy on my rear transmission filler cap and managed to snap the top away from the thread. >:() :-[
I found the part in the microfische and in Hondadiscoutparts, but they don't appear to ship to Oz. It's Friday night, so I haven't iried the Oz Honda parts suppliers yet.
Has anyone stripped down an ST1300 and is willing to part with the filler cap off the trans?
P.S. Just an observation- the VINs in their listing don't include my VIN- maybe USA models used a different sequence after the first 7 characters to the Oz bikes. But the parts look the same.

After looking on Revzilla I think it's part number:12361-300-000, Bill...
For whatever reason they call it a Tappet Adjusting Hole Cap.
I've dealt with Warragul Powersports before and found them pretty good.

Otherwise if you're not in a hurry it looks like you can get the part from AliExpress: https://tinyurl.com/4fttxmdc
Good luck with it all! :beer

Bill, can you measure the diameter of the thread as I may have one left from one of my small Honda restorations.

I have one that I am sending to Bill. Interestingly it is the same part on GL1500s and GL1800s but not ST1100s???

So many helpful Members!! Many thanks for the replies- I've taken note of the Vic supplier. I hadn't even thought of Ali Express! You're right about the part number- I must have wasted at least 15 minutes cross checking everything because of that weird description and the confusing part numbers. I deduce there is a tappet access hole that uses the same cap. Bless West Aussie Glen- fortunately I don't need it urgently since I have a V-Strom as my commuter. This arvo will be the first time I've ridden in over 5 weeks having a 3cm hole in my skull after a melanoma removal. My clever Home Economics wife has made me a padded skullcap to hold the weight of the helmet off the sore bit.

Hey Bill, you might be able to use that tappet hole cap on your skull! :p
Being serious for a moment, best wishes for a speedy recovery... :thumbs

The broken one wouldn't fill the hole. :'(

They use the same terminology on the parts list for the old CX 500, to describe the cover over the timing marks on the flywheel that let you set the engine up for tappet adjustment.
I know this because I literally looked it up to answer a discussion in another forum not five minutes ago.
