A few weeks back I got me a second hand Sheuberth helmet from Ebay and its a ripper soooooooooooooo I takes another look and :thumbsup
Theirs another in the right size thats Brand New. Now a new one from you local BMW shop is around the $1000 dollar mark. Hmmm so today it turns up at the door, in the shiny new box, I gets it out and its bloody better than perferct.
Oh yeah and it cost me a $100. So hear are a couple of pictures and for those experts that reckon a Sheuberth dosn't have compliance, JUST CHECK OUT THE STICKERS.

:eek that is an absolute steal! One of my mates loves his Schuberth lids, but he pays a damned sight more than $100 for them! Nice one :thumb

Great buy there Terry :thumbsup

Good on ya Terry...........looks like a great lid, and at a great price........well done!!
I've brought a Shoei off Ebay previously, that was, and still is, like new, but it was more expensive than your Schuberth.
I've never worn it actually as I brought it for my son to wear, but he's never donned it either. Too busy with girl friend now to ride with dad!! :p

Gotta wonder how they can do a genuine Sheuberth helmet at that price! The S2 is listed at $630 plus postage. I prefer the fixed lip. Have had a flip-up, and never found a need to flip it up. Also seen the usual horror stories about them failing in a prang.

More horror stories about Full Face Helamts coming off in prangs me thinks than Flip up Helmets failing. I mean even in Grand Prix races helmets have come off in a crash and they are custom made for the rider??????

Yep- it's not the coming off the rider's head that was challenged- it was the strength of the chin-piece when struck a blow.
I'm with you. There is no bullet-proof helmet. If it was strong enough to resist everything, it would be too big and heavy to wear. Every useful factor has to be included: visibility for the wearer, impact strength, weight, fit, noise etc etc.

Just had another look and on Ebay at the moment is a helmet identical to the one I brought new deliverd for $100.00.
Ahhhhh but this one is starting out at a Starting bid of $500.00, and its second hand?????????? Just got to keep looking for a good deal eh.

That one has the inter-com wired in, which is probably worth another coupla hundred. Dunno what it would be compatible with.
-
Looks like an AUTOCOM. Probably a $100 for the headset another $30 or so for the lead that plugs onto the headset
-
Might be an autocom, but I have not seen a right angle plug on an autocom lead before, but the plug look autocom like. Definitely not Starcom. Not woth anything unless you have the right comms system.

Yeah and the Microphones different
