Title: Pannier supports
Post by: Rodd on October 16, 2011, 10:30:33 PM
I didn't like the way the panniers rattled and moved while I was riding so I came up with this:

Please excuse the poor and dirty photo.
I have mounted another plastic tie-down on the opposite pannier and have tied the two panniers together.
The cable tie setup is temporary and will be replaced with some other slightly stretchy bunjy strap type of idea.
Anyway, it has worked and the bike is nicer to ride with this $1 farkle!

Nice...The mother of all invention and all that...

What happens when you want to take one of the pannier off?

I just unhook one/both ends of the strap. The cable ties are only temporary till I find something more suitable.

I have some small but good quality bunjy straps, but they might not be rigid enough. It only needs to stretch enough to get one end off a hook.
