Here are some technical diagrams for those engineers amongst us to construct a motorbike hoist in your garage/workshop.

Maybe Tipsy can enlighten us more.....

I had plans of building my own bike lift, but by the time I costed up the components and steel it was cheaper to buy one. This was on ebay for $499.00 ex Newcastle. Had a mate pick it up for me while he was there for work. Pic shows my mighty step through (1963 Honda cub) on the platform, but it easily takes the ST.

But at least building one gets you out of the house, and is more fun.

Malz, in the west, have reasonable bike lifts. My neighbour uses one for his Z900.
