I want to know how they do it. :thumbs :blk13

How cool is that dont show the kids that one
What a good use for the humble 44
I used to put half full 20 gallon drums in the fire at the tip and they only worked once (WUNS)
-
They've got a pretty short fuse, whatever it is that they're using as a charge. Got some power, because 44s aren't that light. Good idea to keep an eye on where they're coming down, too! :eek
If there's a Cop in that hamlet, he must be out of town or one of the rocketeers :runyay

I think the bottom has been removed, and the propellant is petrol (small amount) too much wont work.

Looks like fun. Could be an idea for an RTE.
Bring your own drum.

AHHHH takes me back :thumb
Used to use Metho in an Orchy bottle (orange juice) little plastic bottle with pop off lid.
3mm hole in lid, small amount of metho inside, squeeze bottle a little, light match, hold near hole with bottle on its side, release squeeze = flame sucked - meths goes whoosh and bottl dissapears across the floor :runyay.
the lid acted like a sfety valve too and would blow off f the mixture was too good :rofl.
Tried it with a 2l milk bottle and Isoproponol once (and only once :crackup) it went just like the barrels and just as loud :rofl

Ah...Calcium Carbide, the stuff they used to use to light bicycle lamps etc with. You could easily buy that stuff when I was a kid and one thing we used to do, as horrible children (and I make no apologies for being a child of 6 or 7 at the time), was to go down to the beach near where I lived with a little tin full of calcium carbide and a loaf of stale bread. We'd wrap a small bit of carbide into a piece of bread then throw it up to the seagulls who would catch it mid air and continue flying, then a few seconds later they would explode!!! I know, it wasn't a nice thing to do, and I certainly wouldn't do it now, but at the time all us snotty nosed little monsters thought it was FUNNY!!!

:rofl :rofl :crackup You didn't do much to lower the number of seagulls then.

When I worked at an Isuzu dealership, they would get dry ice to freeze the engine liners to put back into engines when rebuilding them.
Outside the sales area was a school bus stop. Behind where the children would stand, was a fence. Behind the fence was van bodies from trucks.
They don't half resonate when dry ice a bit of water and a plastic drink bottle are tossed under the empty bodies.
Kids sure can run fast.
