Hi everyone my name is Ian, but everyone calls me Beefa.
I'm back on a bike after 21years. I just picked up a 1990 Silver ST1100 on Sunday at Batemans Bay and road it home to Minto in one day,
not bad for my first ride in 20+ years, and haven't been able to wipe the smile off my face since.
She has 128k km on the clock and she's needs a bit of TLC body wise, but she is mechanicaly
sound.
I'm going away for a ride this long weekend with my mate who has a 2000 ex Ambulance ST1100, will post some pics after I get back.

Hi and welcome.
Someone has probably already told you this... but if the timing belt hasn't been changed, it should at least have an inspection.
Mostly they pass the inspection without any problem and go on to 150K km, but you need to know for sure.

G'day Beefa - not a bad ride up through Kiama for your first in a while - bet you wondered why it did happen sooner!
Great to have you aboard mate - make sure you join in on a few OzSTOC rides around the place - they are always fun and entertaining - and that's just the journey to get there! - let alone the fine folks to have lunch with. :thumb
Check over older posts as there's plenty of items of interest tucked away in there. :wink1

Hi Beefa
Welcome. Welcome to the world of Honda ST's. I think it's a curious thing that when motorcyclists discover St's they don't look further.

Hi Beefa from another Newbie in sunny Queensland
Welcome to the Site. I am another ride who had a 20 year break while the kids grew up
I have done nearly 60,000 km in the past 5 years. I had a Kawasaki GTR1000 which I did nearly
50,000 k on. I purchased my ST 1300 in February & nearly done 11,000km on already
Love the Bike. Love the Forum. :beer
