Ladies and Gents, we have just hit 300 Members!
tie that in with the consistent website activity (around the 150 per day), we are really travelling well.
It is a fantastic achievement and in no small part by the efforts and commitment of all of you making this group as welcoming, active and engaging as it is!
Cheers
Streak (Graham)

All is good, except for that guy who left a rambling unintelligible post..
Oh wait, guess that covers most of us at some stage.. :|||| :||||

Great effort by all concerned - It's a far cry from the early days - and the collective wealth of experienced advice and information is quite evident.
A special 'G'day' to our international members (the Tassies) just kidding.... we enjoy membership from a few different continents around the globe now and find the international input on various subjects, extremely interesting. :thumb
The there's the members who have ridden everything and everywhere for the last 1,000 years and when they talk - I for one, listen, as text books can't teach experience like they bring forward. :thumbsup
It's a fantastic mix (melting pot) of people and it's thanks to you all for making this one of the premiere motorcycle forums around. :beer
A big thanks, of course, goes out to the OzSTOC Mod team too, for all the behind the scenes operation and planning of the website and OzSTOC events.
Also, to the sub-committees that are nominated volunteer to oversee the planning of the OzSTOC National Rally to make sure visitors and participants have the BESTEST time!
Lastly - to the supporters and preferred suppliers of OzSTOC - a warm thanks for helping keep the wheels turning and the lights on. You can see a list of these businesses who have put their hand up to help us out (a lot of the time with good quality, free advice) and special OzSTOC Member prices and service - they are well worth a look-up if you need more gear for you and the bike - or more pie as is the case with the Esk Bakery!
Cheers, Diesel

WoW! The big 300. For a population the size of Oz, and the time it's been going, I think the Site rivals our big brother in USofA, the StOWNERS.
I for one make a daily visit here to correct the spelling and grammar put in my Quote For The Day, which I note has the highest hit number of any threads.
Most of the posts are bike related, but the Off-Topic bits are nice to share, and good to see that the Mods ensure the whole site is kept tidy.
For a bunch of opinionated hotheads, we keep a pretty friendly milieu.
garn, look it up, you know you want to :)

Woo hoo, 300 members!!!
:runyay :runyay :runyay
The reason people keep coming back is that newbies like me are given such a warm welcome. I can't wait for the national rally when I'll actually get to meet some of you. :beer

Quick maths would suggest that .005 percent of the American population are STOwner.com Members, whilst .015 percent of Australians are OzSTOC Members - (3x). :hatwave
And Wendy - you are among the lucky few who have met every single other Member in their state! :thumb (Yeah I know - it's gettin old now - but that's all I got!) :rofl

Yes Diesel, it's getting old, but then so are most of our members, so I guess it's acceptable to keep bringing it up...... :wink1 :thumb :grin

What a fantastic effort to come up with that figure Diesel :grin Did you need a lie down after :crackup
In all seriousness (Yep, I've been known to get that way) all this is due to a lot of hard yakka by a couple of blokes :thumbsup, (one of 'em uses alternate fuel for his bike :rofl, and the other does all the :think1 and selling - of shirts & coffee mugs)

:wht11 py
Its K and I know it will keep growing as we are all such wonderful people.

:hatwave it seems like only the other day Ozstoc started up and I had nearly met most members. A credit to those 2 driving forces that kickstarted things as membership figures reflect the efforts put in, and for members involving themselves as nothing would happen without that :beer. The best thing is that there will be more events closer to where members are we have them most places now :thumbs
-
Congrats OzSTOC, a big thank you to Streak, Deisel all the moderators and the members.
:thumb :thumbsup :thumbs :hatwave :runyay :beer

All that advertising was good for something eh fellas? Excellent result and thanks to the efforts of Streak and Diesel (with help from that Goldwing Rider) we now have a strong viable community that allows for interaction with like minded people with a similar passions. :-++
Keep up the good work guys and now lets steam towards 1000 STs together at home. :hatwave

Hey guys,
Each and everyone of you deserve a pat on the back ....without each of YOU we wouldn't be as strong as we are. If we're all out there proactively promoting the club, the Brand and the comradery these eminate ...
Ozstoc will become something people WANT to be apart of.

GREAT NEWS :runyay :runyay :runyay :runyay :hatwave :hatwave
I don't know about you other 'Old Timers' but I find it rather humbling to think that just over 12 months ago a handful of us, 'Founding Members', read, on the US ST-Owners site, that a couple of guys were wondering if anyone was interested in joining an Australian based ST forum.
We were and we did. And look what has become of that idea......................................
To Diesel and Streak............... THANK YOU BOTH FOR GIVING BIRTH TO THIS WONDERFUL SITE. :-++ :-++ Thank you both for all the effort you have put in. Thank you for designing a shirt that is the envy of other, much larger, international clubs, some of who's members were so impressed that they bought and wear it with as much pride as we do.
To all the other members........ THANK YOU FOR NURTURING IT AND MAKING IT A 'MUST READ' EVERY DAY.
Thank you all for being who you are. Thank you for giving and taking the 'curry' that's handed out on a regular basis. Thank you for the advice, suggestions, words-of-wisdom etc.
TO EVERY MEMBER................... THANK YOU FOR MAKING OzSTOC WHAT IT IS.
I don't know who said this, and I don't care, but.... MAY OzSTOC "LIVE LONG AND PROSPER" :thumbsup

I can only add my THANKS to all already said, but I know that the behind the scenes work put in by those leading members will be applauded by all who visit this website. Thanks guys. :thumbs

" G "
when you do a broadcast
are the members in State groups
or
all in together
the RTE only has about 110 in the list
-
The broadcast is only to those within the state, or target area of the ride.
-
For some of the rides we have to manually look at the member map and send to those we think might be interested as they live in the area. For others the general notice on the forum gives a heads up as to rides happening.
-
When we get to 500 do we get listed ???......Put me down for a thousand shares. :nahnah

I think Poppy Dave said it best in the above message in October....
We are sitting here looking at Three Hundred and Ninety-Five members, and it is the entire group who have made this possible, going out, finding all those ST's, putting cards on bikes, coming to events/RTE's around the country, Diesel and I pinch ourselves all the time as we are damn lucky to have you all :thumb
-
Aww stop it ... Your embarassing us... :-[ :-[
-
And with all these new members in different places, planning rides in more places becomes even easier.

Can I sign up my dog and that will make it 400?
-
Congratulations to OzSTOC on reaching such a milestone in it's relatively short life.
Also, congrats to the people behind the scenes who run the website and give the group it's energy.
As a very new member, I couldn't wait to come on board. I just had to wait and buy my ST1300.
Also very impressed with the friendly nature of the forum and the wealth of knowledge and help on offer
to all members.
All power to OzSTOC I say.
Cheers and well done...
