Check out some of Anthony Goberts cornering when ou get a chance... The drift king

That's why the Stoner family moved to Kurri Kurri when he was only a junior so he could hone his skills on the dirt short circut tracks (speedway style). It shows that he learnt something. I am amazed at how the tyres can still maintain traction at that angle. If I tried to get that low there would be more than my elbow and knee touching the ground (ouch).

Yeah at the first modern Grand Prix at Philip Island we just watched as we seen the back wheel laying rubber when they went through the top corners with a knee down.
Hmmmmmm bet yah he has never ridden on a public road?
-
Oh yes he does. I was with a group ride one day about two years ago coming home from Walcha when we got passed by a bike doing about 200. Later found out it was 'the man' home for a weekend run.

Ahhhhhhh Ok????? Wonder what the Million dollar sponsers would say if he got caught at that speed. Hmmmm probably at least 100 Million in Sponsership.
Me thinks his contract wouldn't allow him to ride on a public road?
A mate of mine who teaches people to ride here on the Gold Coast got a phone call from Kawasaki Australia??? So on the Saturday up fronts 2 Kawasakis, a couple of Kawasaki dudes in suits and the current world Superbike Champion.
They neeeded him to get a license for a Promotional deal as he ahd never had a Motorcycle License before.
Me mate tells me it was very funny when they rocked up to the Canungra Cafe for a Coffee (A zillion Bikes their on a weekend) and the current World Superbike Champion gets off a bike with L Plates on it :rofl
Most not if all top riders come from the dirt me thinks and have never had a License.
-
I don't know if he has a licence. Be bloody funny for him to go into town on L plates. :crackup :rofl

Think now the bloke rode for Suzuki, not Kawasaki and it may have happened maybe 8/10 years ago
The mate reckons the look on the faces of the riders having a coffee when he was recognized was priceless.
He also said when they were in the Beechmont hills and the bloke getting the license with the L Plates, put a knee down in every second corner was just priceless.

Yep that's an awesome bit of footage. Guys, if you have any aspirations of pushing it to the limit, do us all a favour and book yourself in to a track day. I don't want to be coming around a corner on a public road in the opposite direction to you. Tyres, road surface, other road users AND the bike, are just a few reasons you shouldn't try this at home. :well
