Guys,

I have the highway blades from www.motorcyclelarry.com (http://www.motorcyclelarry.com).  Best thing I ever bought. I use them around town, in the mountains and up and down long boring highways...

Cannot give them a good enough rap. Approximately $250 plus postage and ten minutes to fit... They need to come off to remove the fairing and that is easy...

cheers,

Doug

If you fit the MCL blades, you also get ready acces to the crash bar steelwork for safer, non seat damaging, tie down facility on trailers and ferries.

PJ,

Although the aluminium fittings do take up most of the crash bar, removal and refitting of the blades is simplicity itself.  It literally take a minute with an Allen key and a 10mm spanner to remove them.

You need to remove them to remove the fairing so they are designed for this.

Happy to upload a pic or two if you would like to see how the fit...

Cheers,

Doug

 :candystwheelieHi Doug,

I already have them fitted. I was just commenting that having the crash bar visible through the mcl supplied crash covers makes strapping the bike down a lot easier and faster. I always had problems tying the bike own easily and quickly till I fitted the mcl blades. It used to take me about 20 minutes. I don't think I could ride now without them ready use, brilliant bit of kit. Only issue for me was our post office slapping a customs fee on the mcl package before they'd let me collect it! Ned Kelly must be alive and well and working for our Post Office. :o) I did look at the Mick o pegs but decided they'd hang too close to the road in any kind of turn.

Cheers
